:triangular_flag_on_post: Stolen name from Fliteboard, they even had a nerve to use the “flite” in the name. They will be taken down by fliteboard legal team for infigement of the copyright and patents.

:triangular_flag_on_post:Generic chinese efoil crap that will break on the first use. Basically another whitelatebel of many of these https://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=efoil&viewtype=&tab=

:triangular_flag_on_post: Complete lack of any contact information or info about the company. Contact us page is empty, generic shopify template store.

Avoid scams at all costs. Get a legit efoil or jetboard.

Well said!

One more thing to consider. Even if these cheap players are legit. If you produce a cheap board you will have less margin and at the same time more customer issues (cheaper components fail more often).

Customer support is a very expensive part of a commercial product. Flite and Lift understand this.

The risk is very high that the cheap players will go out of business once they face a limit of support cases. Once they pull back (and probably open another company) you loose any opportunity of support and spare parts.

I don’t think they’re scams, they’re just wannabe entrepreneurs who think they can make a quick buck reselling Chinese efoils.

MSLR is another example that was featured right here: https://e-surfer.com/en/mslr-electric-e-foil-from-canada/

And another one called GlideFoil popped up recently: http://www.glidefoil.com/shop.html

The boards are all identical, so we know they’re just resellers and not manufacturers. In this case the original manufacturer is Cimi Sports (from China). The worst part is that they’re using a 3rd party remote with horrible customer service and a long history of failure: https://efoil.builders/t/maytech-remote-required-modifications-before-use/6570

Thank you for pointing it out Jane… Well yes, scam is a strong word but at the end of the day most of these whitelabelers are going out of business and most naive buyers will end up losing money, so scam is a right word for it, even if they might have good intentions from the start.

What is your opinion of Cimi Sports efoil?

Wouldn’t waste my time on it since they use the Maytech remote, anyone on efoil.builders can tell you it’s junk and will eventually break if you submerge it in water. Maytech customer support is also non-existent. They won’t replace anything under warranty, instead they send you a coupon for a few dollars off and tell you to buy a replacement. Exactly what you’d expect from China.

I am following this forum since a while and I am really glad it was setup.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Look here around and see the feedback from people who bought cheap products. It is a waste of money and will cause you pain. Trust the established players.

These boards have its price and if you are not willing to spend this amount, please spend your money for something else. In your interest.
