5 Years of work! - Building My Own Electric Jetboard

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a DIY electric jetboard project for several years. The goal was to design a compact propulsion system that fits entirely inside the board.

The propulsion system uses a custom 3D-printed waterjet with an impeller and stator assembly.
It’s powered by an outrunner with and high-current ESC, the whole on a 16S battery pack.

I’d love to hear feedback from people here since many of you have experience with electric surfboards and propulsion systems.

I’m currently redesigning some parts of the propulsion system and considering turning it into a DIY kit in the future. (Part 2 on youtube probably around Mai-June)

Would people here be interested in building something like this if the parts or plans were available?

please note that this is not the “correct” ESC as it worked great but then blowed up due to water and low quality components
