Hi, New Member, I own a Fliteboard Air Pro and a Takuma Carver 2 (with a Flipsky controller). Long story but my Flitebaord is stuck in a firmware update loop. The app says “Device in in firmware update mode”. The only available option is to update but after it runs through the update process it returns to the main screen showing the device is no longer connected. After reconnecting it shows the same status. All leds on the board are white. Tried power cycle, holding a magnet at the binding button, leaving it powered up for 4 hours….Flitebaord support says it needs to go in for repairs.
Does anyone know how to do a reset on the board? What will Fliteboard do to fix the issue? Summer is starting in Australia and I really don’t want to have to use my carver.
The firmware update may have gotten stuck halfway, which can happen if the connection drops during the process. Unfortunately, there isn’t a user-accessible reset option on the Fliteboard when it’s in this loop. The board’s internal controller usually stays in update mode until it’s reflashed with the correct firmware using Fliteboard’s service tools. Their support team will likely reinstall or reflash the firmware through their diagnostic software and make sure the controller is responding correctly. It’s definitely frustrating with summer starting, but sending it in for service is probably the only way to get it working properly again.
