This jet idea will not work on waves unfortunately, it needs a free spinning prop, else it will act like jetsurf on waves - you have to keep pushing the trigger and cant glide freely like on Lift with a folding prop

Not sure why this old post popped up again, but these are pictures from 2019 when I tried the first prototype.
Given the small diameter of the propulsion and the shielded prop it is gliding like a folding propeller or TruiGlide prop, but without the risk of getting injured by an open propeller.
It had no problem to lift me with 92 kg and thick wetsuit.
