Skiddadle, from it’s inception to its demise

The Skidaddle was developed by North Hants Engineering from an original idea from South Africa.
It was shown at the Southampton Boat Show in 1973.
It’s demise was the fact the Husqvarna engine couldn’t cope in warm continental water.
NH Eng took it to Japan and after NH went out of business in 1974 I believe the Japanese took on the further development which eventually led to the jet ski we see all over the world today.
I was PA to NH MD Dave Bennett. Had a wonderful few years working for the company. Many happy memories. I demonstrated it at the Boat Show.
